My 94 940 turbo wagon seems like it has a low idle .. it never stalls so perhaps it is just me thinking it is lower then normal ....

In Park warm it is at 650 maybe 700 ... reading on the tach on dash

In drive it seems to be be right at 500

I have check - no vac leaks
I have cleaned throttle body and air motor
checked all air ducts
new air filter installed
sprayed carb cleaner around intake gasket .. no change in idle


what is the normal idle speed in park and drive???

Does it idle smoothly? Throttle response nice? If yes, why worry? Lower idle is better if there are no other side effects... Idle may be should be a little higher, 750-800, but who cares? If you still want to raise it, do it at the throttle linkage--there is a little screw, need to loosen the 8mm nut to make it turn using a small thin flat head blade.
