940 to 960,S90 conversion
Hey everyone, I have a 1992 940gl and I want to do a 940 to 960,S90 conversion. I'm talkin about the frontend, doors, rear lights and bumper. What I want know is, on the frontend, wut need to be changed. will the doors(front and rear) swap right over and are the electrical plugs in the doors the same. Please help...
It's crazy to even consider it.
Sorry, but it's just not worth it in my mind. You can buy a 960/s90 for less money than what the parts are going to cost and in the end you are going to end up with a hacked up car. It is never going to be exactly like a 960/s90. You would have to change: bumpers, lights all around, add side lights with wiring harnesses, hood, hood valance, 4 doors, rims, windshield wipers, hood, grill, wipers for headlights, misc. parts and hardware, etc, etc. And your still not going to have the 6 cyl. engine, 960/s90 transmission, upgraded suspension, nicer interior, and all of the numerous refinements. Sell your 940GL and buy a nice clean low milage 960/s90. It will cost you a lot less money and headaches in the end, trust me.
