I’m looking at buying a 1995 940, but dealership says it needs new gear linkage pins and bushes as it’s got problems getting into first, new parts coming with the car, but any one know how much of a hassle this is to do/get done? Am probably going to have to take it to a garage so vague ideas of price would be amazing if anyone has any insight, cheers in advance.

 

Assuming it is an automatic, very simple. Just roll the car onto ramps.
Bushings are available at IPD and are very affordable.
The linkage is connected to the shifter by a couple of bolts.
