940 Turbo '93 transmission
The transmission is an AW71, an exceptionally durable transmission. There is a remote possibility that adjusting the kickdown cable may help...but revving between shifts is generally not good. Check your manual or Google how to adjust it. Basically, it is attached to the throttle spool and you turn the locking nut one way or the other to adjust. Before completely writing the transmission off, you could change the filter and fluid. If you do end up going for another transmission, do NOT install an AW70 from a non-turbo car. While they look the same externally, an AW70 can not withstand the extra torque of the turbo motor. I tried it...the AW70 lasted exactly 2 weeks!
