Default 95 940 turbo misfiring?

I have a 95 940 turbo that ive had for 5 years that runs great. Recently it began to shake rather violently when stopped or in idle, and less noticeably at driving speeds. Also since it started vibrating the acceleration has been very sluggish. This leads me to beleive that it has a misfire or multiple misfires. This weekend i plan to replace the spark plugs/wires, distributor cap and rotor in hopes that that will fix the problem.
If anyone has any other thoughts that would be greatly appreciated.

First, find the cause of the misfire before replacing a ton of stuff--common mistake... Take your time diagnosing it, it's ONE thing. Any codes on the OBD? CEL on? What seems like a misfire could be a fuel problem, running too rich, even a bad head gasket, etc. Are all the cylinders firing? Check by pulling the wires one by one to see if there's a difference...
