Default ABS brakes

ok...i feel kind of silly asking this but....on a 240 with ABS, does the ABS pump simply replace the master cylinder?

ABS does not eliminate the master cylinder--all cars with ABS still have to have a master cylinder.

ok. But, then where does the ABS pump mount? I thought it was supposed to be in the engine bay, drivers side between the battery and strut tower?

oh....i think I get it. On a 240 with ABS the pump is attached to the master cylinder.....right?
