I just got done doing the wifes rear main seal on her 940 and now it pings on acceleration. I did not line up the flexplate to the crank as it didn't have any thing to locate it (pin/key), so I assumed it did not matter... will it run and idle with the flexplate in the wrong position? I dread the thought of pulling the tranny again..

 

Any other symptoms, like sluggish acceleration, uneven idle, etc? If not, put some premium gas, see what happens...

 

well... it was 12.5 degrees off... I checked through the starter hole and no dice... so back out she came..n all done and running fine now.. =P
