Recently given a 1992 240 wagon (the "freehicle") that runs great and I am growing to love more and more every day.

The only problem so far is that once in awhile the brake pedal kicks back and jerks when the car is almost at a complete stop. I can hear a kind of springing sound and the steering wheel pulls a little. But the car always stops and the problem is intermittent.

I figured I'd try and diagnose it before I find myself in a "no brakes, no use steering situation".
