okay so recently my breaks have gotten really squishy and go to the floor and sometimes holds the pressure and sometimes doesn’t i think it’s a bad master cylinder because i don’t see any visual leaks and so i bled the brakes today in case somehow an air bubble has made its way into the system and all bled really good except the passenger rear which i can not get all the air out of it i want to make sure it’s bled good and properly before i replace the master cylinder to make sure i’m not wasting money all the help is appreciated
Did you try a power bleeder? That will really help, particularly when you are doing the master (which my bet is ready to be replaced - particularly if you have no signs of leaks at any of the wheels or long lines.
i haven’t tried one yet i was trying to find someone i know with one so i can borrow it and i don’t care to replace the master it’s just if i don’t need to i won’t and also i saw a little bit of fluid on the lines when i was bleeding them but i sprayed brake cleaner prior to seeing it so im waiting to see if it was cleaner or fluid
if it has ABS, there would be a pretty obvious block of metal, plastic, and pipes clearly labeled ABS, in the engine compartment just aft of the battery or the airbox.... like this...
oh, pre ABS 240's have a 'dual triangular' braking system, there's *SIX* brake circuits you have to bleed, two at each front wheel, and one at each rear.
the ABS cars have a standard dual diagonal braking system, with just 4 total circuits.
