brakes going out

Default brakes going out

When i am at a prolonged stop the pedal will go to the grow and the brakes will disengage could the be the master cylinder or is there more too it?

It could also be air in the system. How long is it since the fluid was changed and the system bled?

Definitely sounds like there is air in your brake lines. You should be able to tell if there is a spongy feeling when you press on the brakes. If this is true, you need to take it to an auto shop ASAP, because there is a leak either in your hydrolic lines or in one of your calipers. If this is the case, and it is not taken care of, your brakes will completely fail due to excess air in the lines.

if your at the light with your foot on the pedal and it gradually goes all the way to the floor its the master, pull your check valve on the booster and see if its wet, if it is then youve got a bad master. if it sinks down but doesnt go to the floor and always stops in the same place, then its air in the line. I see it all the time at my shop, and yes you should take it in asap, its unsafe to drive it like that and no one wants that unnessary trip to the hospital
