I need to replace this hose, does anyone know the name?

When i take my car to change all of the parts it needs(strut bases, springs, etc) they are going to lend me an XC90 =]

 

I have a question, my friend has a 95 volvo 940 and her car doesnt have that hose, and also this 94 940 doesnt have it either, why does my car have it?

the pictures are pretty small, but it looks to me that it's the upper radiator hose...just wondering, how much did you pay for this car?
the only reason i ask is that you seem to be having A LOT of problems with it...I bought a 86 Volvo 240DL with 230,000 miles yesterday for $200 and now i'll have to put less than $100 worth of work in it to get it running perfect

 

Because your car has EGR.
The other cars don't have EGR.

 

The car has been mine since '95, well my mom's and now mine.. And the car runs great, but i always notice EVERY SINGLE detail, so if you were like me, believe me you will be the same with your 240
