Which button is missing???
'90 Volvo 240DL has a button missing by the A/C. I have been looking and looking and cannot find out if it was an SRS button or defrost. Really need help. Trying to get this thing in top shape.
Any help appreciated. Picture below

Unfortunately, I don't think that is the one. I've added one more photo to the same link above (or below) and I have that button in a different location. It is possible, I guess, that he switched the location of this button?

Let me know if you have any other ideas.
Thank you,

I cannot see your pictures for some reason.
Here's the thing: These switches are easy to remove and re-arrange. If the previous owner could do anything at all, he could have moved switches. So here's the question: are there any switches missing that you want? Typical setup is hazard, Rear defrost, & AC. There is a plug for SRS, but it's hardly important unless you plan on detonating your airbag. And if you need help with that, I've got you covered, there.
If you've got all that, then you just need a plug for the hole. It probably fell out.
The google image search with the mirror defroster is not a standard 240 setup. The 90s era 240s would not have this (unless someone installed this after the fact) because the "nicer" cars of this time were the 940s.
In a 90s era 240, most of the switches in the switch bank will be blank.

Do you have front fog lights? I haven't seen any later model 240s with the front fog lights. Earlier models such as the Turbo and the GT had front fog lights in the grill and maybe used such a switch. The rear fog lights are controlled by the switch by the headlight switch (you show in the second pic). My 240 has a blank there - but then I have a blank where the air cond. used to be. I put it there when the air cond. was removed after an accident.

So, I finally found the owner's manual that the previous owner had hidden; I thought it was missing. He had it with the spare tire in the trunk.
I've uploaded the picture from the manual. It looks like this one came with a plastic cover over that spot. It's strange, though, since it looks like there's an electrical connection where a button may have been or, it may be, that this is to add on additional features. Anyway, now I need to find a plastic cover for that spot. Anyone have one or know of any? I've been researching and cannot find one anywhere.
Thank you for you all of your time and assistance.

Nah! thats the SRS test port cover
its a little black plastic plate that simply has "SRS" written on it
that connector is just a jump port on order to test the SRS system
1. turn the ignition to position 2
2. wait 15 seconds
3. use a wire to jump that port to a known ground
4. Read the flashes on the SRS light at the dash
