Unhappy a/c problem

The car in question is my 1993 940 turbo wagon. I bought this car dirt cheap with some issues mostly electrical. The prior owner liked togle switches apperantly and I don't... Prob is as follows. The a/c was working on all speeds, but I would have to flip a switch he rigged for the compressor to switch on. Obviously I removed it and now do not have a/c. How can this be correctly repaired, please ?

Well, hard to say exactly other than to get in there and fix whatever it was that made the previous inventor hook the toggle, most likely the OFF/ON A/C switch on the control panel. You'll need a new switch, and replace it and wire it correctly. I'd get the switch from a junkyard.

Also check the solder joints in the controller they are known to go bad all the time.
You can resolder the joints and usually be good to go.
