Default Cleaning Dirty Injectors

Would you ever try to clean dirty fuel injectors yourself? Or would you have them done at a shop?

Someone told me that ultrasonic jewelry cleaning bath contraptions work in knocking loose build-up.

In mu Stang I use Techron that goes in the fuel tank.
I notice a difference in 2 miles with the stuff. I put a bottle in at 1/4 of a tank of fuel and go.

You should notice a slight bit over power and maybe a few more MPG.

Its to expensive for that.

Every 15,000 or 30,000 miles should do fine.

I just bought a similar product the other night at a Home Depot of all places and it was around 5-6 bucks. I haven't put it in yet because i haven't hit near empty. I'll let you know what happens when I do.

So you don't think it's worth it to take the injectors in to have cleaned? I should just do it myself?

If you want to spend the Money and have it done go ahead.
I put the Techron in the Tank and it does a good job by itself.

Well, I'm talking about having them not only cleaned, but flow tested and balanced. After 120K miles, I'm sure there's some crud in my injectors that gas alone won't clean out. I'll still use the Techron to keep them clean. Besides, having the injectors professionally done only costs about $15 bucks per.
