Ca I put dextron III inthetranny of my 89 240 automatic? Dave

As far as I know yes But I could be wrong. DexIII is supposed to work with dexII and newer.

yes Dexron III is what you are supposed to use now, i used it in my 89 240...i even checked with guys at autozone and a mechanic i know before i used it.
