Default Electric motor sound at start

I have a '91 240 sedan that makes an electric motor buzz for a sec when I turn the key on. I'm guessing fuel pump. I have an '88 240 turbo wagon that has never made that sound but seems to run fine. Sometimes when it's cold and I haven't let it warm up enough the wagon stalls a bit when I put it in gear.
Should I be concerned about the wagon?
Thanks,
Greg

if the pump sound is that loud on the sedan, I'd be more worried about it. I don't hear the pumps on my 740 unless I'm listening VERY carefully.
