i dont know if thats the name, but i need a new gear stick for my volvo 940 1995, i would like to know where i can get one? mine is almost dead, and also where can i buy a vanity mirror for the passenger's side?


i found a site that has them but i need to know the:

-Model type
-The REG. of the year it was made(1995)
-the Engine C.C and how many vavles
-the fuel type(petrol, petrol turbo, TDi, HDi, SDi)

My car is a 1995 940 volvo, non turbo, 2.3L V4

 

Are you just talking about the shift **** on the top of the shifter?
Do you have the overdrive button in the ****?

I just looked at it and it should be like this.

Year of manf S 1995
Engine 2300 8V
Fuel Petrol
Trans should be a 4 Speed Auto (But not 100% sure) Drive it and see how many times it shifts Or another way might be to look at the shifter plate where it has the letters. See if it only has L 2 3 or L 3 4
If it has L 2 3 then it is the 4 speed.
Body 4 door

In order to change it you will have to remove the entire shifter assembly out of the car and disassemble the assembly. Then make sure you don't break the wires or the switch when you pull the **** off of the shifter shaft.

 

oh ok, but i have a question, is there a cover for the gear ****? like a leather plastic or a cotton one? so i wont have to do that? and if it exists whats the name
