Default Hella vs Sealed Beam Halogen Lights

My current bulbs need replacing. I've got 2 old, basic sealed beam Halogen lights.

Are Hella lights substantially better than Slyvania (or other) sealed low beam lights? Sylvania offers a Silverstar Ultra & Xtravision upgrades.

Are they close to equal as far as light output & visibility? (Or any other OEM Halogen light.)

(I understand the Hella allows the filament to be replaced, but unless the Sylvania burns out every 2 years, that's not an issue.)

Thank you for your time.

the silverstar stuff in the USA has blue tint, which makes it /less/ bright. for cars that use discrete bulbs rather than complete sealed beam lamps, I have been using the Sylvania/Osram XV

in old school round and rectangular sealed beams, there's not much quality anymore, unless you use something like the LED Truck-lite, which are available in 7" round, 5x7, and 4x6 rectangular sizes. https://www.truck-lite.com/lights.ht...litech_at=9174 warning, very expensive. there are knock-offs of these at a much cheaper price point, like everything else, I suspect the quality of the knock-offs is variable, but my kid has used in a few applications.

if you are going to buy Hellas that take an H4, you are going to get more wattage in the bulb plus you are likely to get an "E-code" lense

I have a pair of 4x6 Hella high beams new in the box if interested that I'd sell cheap to a Volvoer (gratuitous self-promotion of my parts pin) PM me if interested. BTW, If you decide to go to a after market halogen set up with H4 bulbs or similar, I recommend relaying if your car doesn't have a headlamp relay already. these were going to be my "driving lights" for a car I no longer own.
