Default intermittent dying problem 92 240

Hi all. I have had a recent problem with my 92 240. It usually start and idle ok, but within a mile, if I stop and let it idle, it will lope once or twice then die. It starts easily after this happens, but only if I keep a lite foot on the gas pedal. It did this for a day and then suddenly, the problem went away. I was messing around under the hood today, and found that while it's idling, if I lift ( pardon my terminology, i'm a semi-retard under the hood ) on the accordian hose coming out of the air filter housing, the engine will begin to do that loping again, although not bad enough to make it die. I was lifting behind what I think is the MAF sensor, but I'm not sure. Air leak, you think?

I would remove the accordion hose and check it for a leak. Or just replace the hose.

Accordian hose sometime rubs against fender and gets hole. You can temporarily fix with electrical tape..
