Default dying problem

my S70 has been the shop for 2 weeks for a dying problem. When the car dies it does not set a code. The volvo repair shop says that it is not fuel or spark related. They are basically changing out parts. The car starts right back up after dying. Has anyone had this problem or can anyone help me figure out what might be the cause. 1998 S-70 GLT.

Thanks

Have they checked the mass flow sensor and the throttle position sensor?
