Default Intermittent Wiper Function

Ok, the fun (and it actually is fun working with my grandson) continues. Today we tested out the wipers and found the wiper park function would not work. Cleaning the contact pins and making sure the motor case had a good ground fixed that problem. However it appears that the intermittent wipe function needs some attention. Right now you put the wiper switch in intermittent and about 5-7 seconds later the wipers will sweep, but instead of stopping after one sweep, they just keep going until you turn them off. Looking at my Haynes wiring diagram I'm assuming the intermittent relay went out. Two questions......first, does it sound legit that the relay went out? Second, where the hell is the relay and what does it look like?

Living in the Pacific Northwest, wipers are an essential thing for him to have working properly.

Many thanks

I thought all 240s had it hidden behind the dead pedal, hanging down catching and filling with water leaking from the windshield. Prancing moose has some great info -

Yep, found it. Thanks Hoonk. This 240 is more fun to work on than my old 850 and son's S70.
