I drove my '82 240 GL.
And I had fun driving it. It was warm out side ( I live in Charlotte, NC BTW)
And I all I did was just drive from school home and I was smile the whole way.

Wasnt even racing or anything.


Volvo (240) FTMFW!!!

 

There is something about the Volvo 240 that makes it a pleasant car to drive, even if it isn't fast, fancy or beautiful. It has spirit, and that's important.

 

yep, daughter did the same thing today. drove the 92 240 to marching band she says she just loves her "SLUG BUG" I call it Gold Bug cuz it saves me money.

 

I like driving something different (89 240 wagon, 66 MGB, or 86 R80RT BMW bike) than all of the Caravans, Camrys and F150 trucks. Dont see many 240s out on the road- at least in the rusty North East. D

 

Hah, yeah. But I give so many rides to my friends I am considering getting a taxi sign and putting it on my car. I have many names for her, one among them is "golden nugget".

Also I think i have 7 series lights on my volvo Its pretty cool bc I can easily get some HIDs in there if i wanted. but thats beyond the point

 

I was behind a co-worker going home one night (last winter) he said "Man that Volvo has big lights!". pretty cool.
