Default (Kinda urgent) Heater not working after battery change

Hey! I just changed to a new battery on my 95' 940. When i went to work today, the heater will not work at all. I am pretty sure i've connected all the stuff that needs to be connected on their respective poles. Is there some "magical ritual" to connect the battery like the s60 does? Help is needed fast since i am freezing to death driving back and forth in -25°C

Is the vehicle up to temperature? In -25°c weather, the car may not be able to get up to temp. Or your antifreeze is frozen solid, and your engine has overheated.

The battery change, should have nothing to do with your car's heating abilities unless the blower fan (electrically operated) isn't functioning.

The fan itself works great so nothing wrong with that.

The antifreeze is running well and the temperature gauge is working as well as it should be.

The needle is in the middle of the temp gauge?

If this is all true, the fan operates, and all coolant hoses under the hood are hot to the touch, the heat in the car should be working.

Are the hoses hot?

Also, try disconnecting the battery and place the negative battery cable on the positive post for 5 minutes (that is positive cable still connected, negative cable disconnected and placed on positive cable post.DO NOT JUMPER THE POSTS)

This will completely reset your car's electrical systems. Make sure the key is in the off position, in fact take it out and put it on your dash. Your climate control could be the problem, though I've never heard of this

Hmm.... Haven't checked them out. I'll give you an update on that when I'm done with work for today

Seems like I found the problem. All I needed to do is to disconnect the battery and let it sit for 30 minutes or so... All that trouble for a simple solution

Hey, all that matters is that you're not frozen to death, nor have you lost a limb.... Or have you?

The battery, oh yes. Did you place the negative cable on the positive post like I suggested? This speeds up the electrical bleed down exponentially.
