Default Left Rear taillights malfunctioning 88 240

The left rear taillights aren't working on my 240. I tested the bulbs in the sockets on the right and they worked fine, the fuse is fine as well. The brake lights work fine, as well as the blinker, and the reverse light, just the two taillights don't work. Any ideas?

The parking lights are fused left and right side. Means if the entire circuit is blown you won't have the front parking light either...so that's something to check as is physically twisting the fuse in its holder to clean it off. Obviously, if the front light is burning on that side. it isn't the fuse. What I'm not reading is ...have you checked the circuit for current? I'm guessing tools are limited? You can make a test light out of a tail light bulb, 2 pieces of wire and some duct tape.

How the hell do I explain this...

You know that green plastic sheet that looks like something outta TRON, that your bulb housings connect with to give the bulbs current?

Take the bulb housing off, and get a clean pencil eraser...clean the metal where it touches the TRON plastic, and rub where that housing makes contact on the sheet.

Hope that makes enough sense.
