Default Manually move blend door?

I have a 92 940... I have pretty much no heat, only Luke warm, I have pretty much narrowed it down to a bad blend door actuator or something along those lines.... can skme body please tell me if and how I could possibly move the door by hand so I can have just heat? I understand I won't be able to switch it but that's ok, I have two little girls and them having to have blankets for daddy's car is pretty annoying.... if somebody could tell me how to access the "actuator", there is a 760t wagon at the boneyard, I'd like to get whatever I need for this problem off of that. Thanks guys

Moved from "New Member" to your cars sub section. Hopefully someone can jump in and help you out with the question.

I did the actuator on my S40, it would hick-up and made an annoying clicking sound, happened when I started the car.

Because it is behind the glove compartment box, I did cut it out as you can see to gain easier access to it, I picked up a used actuator on Ebay for around $15 bucks and no more clicking. Not that hard to do.

Being that it is behind the glove compartment and your car is older, I would just cut into it like I did on mine (2003) If my car was newer I would not have done it that way but once you put the glove box back in you will never see it.

Had I had a dremel tool I would have been able to cut it out neatly, but I used a big drill bit, ugly but not seen.

fyi, that 760T at the junkyard will do you no good, 760/960 have a completely different HVAC system than 740/940.
