Default Need AC help in Dallas!

Hello everyone!

I desperately need some help with my AC. I had the radiator replaced a few months ago and the wagon has been running fine, but now that summer is just about here, the AC isn’t blowing cold. I’d like to see what the issue could be, or if anyone has advice on where to begin, any help is appreciated.

thanks!!

stephanie

can you feel/hear/see the compressor kick on when you turn the AC on REC and the coldest setting? I'd suspect that when the radiator was worked on they may have damaged one of the lines to/from the condensor or the condensor itself and your system lost its charge. If there's no freon in the system the low pressure sensor will keep the compressor from coming on. You'd need to have a pro shop inspect for physical damage then measure the system pressure. If its low, they will recharge the system with some dye to find where its leaking out then repair, reseal, vaccuum out and recharge the system.

Was your A/C working BEFORE the radiator change?
If so, yes, there is a good chance that something got screwed up when the radiator was changed.
If no, or unsure, then there are many possibilities as to why it's inop now.
Also, please provide make, year, model, miles, etc, it really makes a difference...
