New distributor cap and rotor
I just got back from the auto parts store with a new cap and rotor because the engine is having a random miss fire. I replaced the wires and plugs about 20k miles ago and believe it's the distributor. The distributor, to my knowledge, has not been serviced since about 1992-1993. I have never attempted to replace these before only because they worked fine, until now. Any knowledge about these would be helpful.

There are 3 screws, or captive 8mm bolts. Use an 8mm angled box end wrench to get them off; close to impossible to do with a screwdriver...
Also, now they recommend to discard the plastic cover that comes with the dist. cap. That cover has been found to retain water as these cars may leak from the inboard part of the hood in heavy rain and this would cause misfires.
