Maybe I could just get a BIGGER FAN?

As I said the car was "salvaged" when I bought it four years ago." With the old radiator it wasn't a problem, but when I installed the new radiator the fan shroud would not clear the fan, it was off. I guess I could screw with it some more. I saved the shroud of course. Thanks.

get a 940 electric fan and remove the mechanical one?

Will the newer 740/940 electric fans fit in a 240? I thought at the same time they converted to the electric fan that they also went to a bigger radiator. But I must admit I am not familiar with the 740/940 setup.

There are plenty of generic electric fan conversions on the market, a 940 won't fit.
