Default Quickest I've done my belt

Well yesterday I continued on my 350K mileage tune up by doing the 50K timing belt change. I normally take my time but for some reason the job seemed to take less time then in the past. It took me 1 1/2 hours to do the job which was a belt , tensioner and front seal change. I then did the transmission flush which took another 1/2 hour. So maybe next week I'll replace the oil trap and I'll be done for a while. I'm waiting for the motor to blow as the piston slap/wrist pin is noisy at idle but goes away on throttle. My bride want at least 500K on the car so if I have to redo the motor she'll want to go for a million but at our age she won't make it.
Happy fathers day

Yeah, I can see timing belt changed in an hour providing nothing unusual happens... Many times you are moving great, going along at a good clip, then, boom, a bolt breaks, and all the nice progress you have made stops! Time to go to plan B!

I changed a fuel line on a Passat yesterday, (it broke and dripped gas right on top of the hot exhaust); one solid line from the top of the motor all the way to the fuel filter in the back. I was done in a couple of hours (VW wants over a $1,000 for the job), except for 5 or so nasty clips which just did not want to snap shut and let me finish the job in a respectable time. Screwing around with these clamps took way longer than the actual line replacement. May be they are one time use only, the VW way, masters of ****ling parts shenaniigans!
