Default rainy days are here again....

i own a 89 and 91 244. when it rains neither of the cars will run... they turn over but do not fire up. I replaced the distributer on hers and mine and also replaced the coil hoping that would help... 130 dollar mistake.. n after the cars dry out for the day they seem to be all right .. any thoughts?[:@]

If you Don't have a electrical plug on the Dist. then look at the back of the engine. In the middle top of the Bellhousing where the trans meets the engine. Look for a sensor Bolted into the engine. That is it. Look closely at the outside sheilding if it is falling apart replace it. It could cause the problem but not always.

Either way if it is falling apart replace it.

If the outside sheilding is cracked/falling off then Yes.

They will even shut the car off hitting a bump when they get bad.
