Default rear main seal leak

My '93 940 has what appears to be a rear main seal leak. Gasket was replaced July, 2003 @ 140,284 miles. Seemed fine for a while, problem returned. Now 201,000 miles regular leak. Have not used an additive....
?? Best approach and ballpark cost now of rear main seal replacement; in 2003 it was approx. $450.
Any suggestions

They "should" last longer but the quality of the seal used is the key, also skill in the installation is somewhat a factor.

You should still be able to get it done for $500.

Have you replaced or cleaned your PCV valve. If it is clogged it could be causing excessive crank case pressure which causes oil to leak through the engines seals.

Good point! Not only the flame trap (PCV) but also the "separator" should be looked at before going after the main seal...
