regina EFI has the same rail pressure and flow requirements as LH2.4, so it will work with the bosch dual pump setup. I've heard of all sorts of things, like cars with Regina injection but Bosch ignition, etc. Volvo would mix and match whatever parts they had on hand if they ran low on stuff.

In your professional opinion and experience... Is one pump more reliable vs dual pump system??

many newer cars, such as the 850, use a single pump in the gas tank. in fact, I've heard you can retrofit a 850 fuel pump to a 240 or 7/940 pump+sensor assembly with a bit of tinkering, and customizing the hose lengths... the fuel flow and pressure requirements are compatible (use the 850 t5 turbo pump for a 740/940 turbo).
