Default removing seats

how do i remove the back seats but only the bottom part? 91 volvo 740

ah, I only have had 700/900 wagons. on the wagons, you just pivot the back edge of the seat bottom up and forward, and then unbolt the hinges under the front of the back seat bottom.

the parts diagrams for the sedan don't show any fasteners other than those that hold the center armrest, just the seats, so they must be held in with some sort of snap clips. my guess is the back of the bottom goes up first, then it just pops out.

You have to push the front of the cushion toward the back, then lift the front to unhook the seat. There are two spring like things on the bottom of the seat which are under tension. Sometimes it could be a pain to get them out-keep trying!
