Default Steering Wheel Removal

I can't seem to find a solid answer to this question.

I found a sweet steering wheel from an 85 240 in a junk yard today that I'd love to replace the non-operational bag wheel with.

I'm fairly certain the nut size is 27mm, but do I need a puller for this job? I've heard you don't and I've seen evidence of people using them. Which is it? The yard is about 30 mins from my house. I don't want to get all the way out there and need more tools.

Any other important info needed for this swap?

Thanks, y'all.

You DON"T need a puller. Just get the nut off and pull the wheel off! You may have to jostle it a bit but it will come off.
