Default Steering wheel removal *HELP*

Hello everybody,

So i've been trying to remove the steering wheel in my S60 ('02) in order to remove the whole dash. As all writeups say, there is either T30 or T27 torx screws (2 of them) on the back of the steering wheel.

However, after trying to stick T30 and T27, it didn't seem to catch the screws. So I took my camera and took a few shots so I could see what's inside and here it is:

I tried sticking in a flat-head screwdriver and moving the small piece in the middle and nothing! It just baffles me as i've never seen such type of "screw". I already took apart everything and the steering wheel is the only thing that keeps the dash from coming off.

Is there another way to remove the steering wheel? Does anybody know how to "use" those "screws" that are in the picture to take off the steering wheel?

Please help!!!

Thanks in advance everybody!

The S60 doesn't have screws. You were on the right track with a straight screw driver.
You need to use the screw driver and push it one way.
Here is a pick sorry about quality I don't have a scanner I have to tape a picture of a picture.

It would have said screw driver. Then angle it to one side to release the spring.

It actually worked flawlessly. The airbag just popped out of its place. I was able to finally take the whole dash apart.

Thank you very much for your help!

Just want to Bump this Post up as it helped me removed my steering wheel today. Definitely a little tricky but since I had the new wheel with me I could use it as a guide to see what angle the screw driver needed to go in at.

Thanks.
