Default strange no-start issue on ‘89 244 dl

hi all, i’ve recently been blessed with the opportunity of owning a 5 speed 240, but after about an hour of driving, the car dies randomly and won’t start back up. i’ve been towed multiple times and it really sucks. first order of business was replace the alternator because my battery was dying. solved that issue, but the car still died sometimes. next i replaced the crankshaft position sensor, but now it’s not starting at all. help!!!!

Solder joints crack on the fuel pump relay circuit board, or the 25 amp fuse under the hood has a poor connection - both can cause that. Check the fuel system fuses in the main fuse box also - they will corrode on the tips where they are clamped in.

Are there any self diagnostic codes stored? ( I trust there was one for the speed sensor so you replaced it)
