1989 740GL wagon with an auto trans. It has a trans fluid leak. Im not sure if its coming from the pan gasket or someone said it might be the front seal. Havent crawled under to look at it yet but will this weekend. Is this a problem area that is prone to leaking and if it is a pain in the azz to replace?

 

Tranny leaks are ALWAYS a pain to fix unless it's the pan, or a loose line (you wish). The only way to find out, well, you know, get under there...

 

Well i crawled under it and it looks to be the at the front of the trans. Maybe the front seal. Anynbody change it yet and goign to be a pain to do so or just take it in and have it done?
