Hello again, everyone!

Still looking into my '82 245 DL (B21F). The part and hose that comes from the vacuum booster behind the master cylinder is missing. I currently have the hole blocked with a nickle and painter's tape to hold it. So, what part goes there, and where does the hose coming from it go to? I'm thick, and not grasping the schematics

 

its a plastic valve/elbow to a vacuum hose that goes to a vacuum booster pump. not quite sure the specifics on a car as old as 1982, we have an 87 240 and a newer 740.

AFAIK, that plastic fitting is part of the vacuum booster/servo. a complication is that Volvo used multiple vendors of those servo boosters, and they aren't exactly the same. DBA and Girling servos appear in teh parts catalogs for a 1982.

hmmm, the old parts catalog lists the valve as 270596 for a DBA booster, and 1272811 + gasket 687494 for the Girling cylinder. notes say the Girling vacuum servo is painted black or anodized yellow, while the DBA one is grey galvanized. I have no idea if these parts are still available, I'm using a 10 year old VADIS parts catalog.
