Hi can anyone help, my steering rack has gone trying to find a replacement but there are 2 different sizes don't know which size to order as the one that is on it does not look right and does not seem to fit well. I have contacted volvo who gave me a part number to match my car which is 5003683 but can anyone tell me what the overall size of this rack is because while trying to order an after market one they need the size not the number.

Any help appreciated

As you use 'Estate' I assume you are from the UK.

I don't know where you would find this info but for parts I recommend: http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/. They do not sell parts but will pass your needs to several dealers who specialize in new and used Volvo parts. The dealers will contact you with price and availability. As they are dealing in Volvo parts on a daily basis you should not need the size of the rack.

The service is first class.

 

Managed to get a new one from Dingbro, once we got the old one off we found more numbers and codes on the upper side which can't be seen when it's on the car, all sorted now and at £90 it was £400 cheaper than volvo!
