Volvo 240 PCV/Flame trap kit

Default Volvo 240 PCV/Flame trap kit

How do i begin to replace the PCV and do the flame trap kit? also how does the PCV drain hose come out.

Just a correction...RWD bricks don't have (I think i'm correct on this one..) what you would typically call a "PCV". We have a combination of a flame trap and an oil separator. In most cases, you only need to replace the hoses and O-rings that get old and brittle...and clean the flame trap.

While you're at it, make sure you pull out the oil separator and change out all the O-rings associated with it. You can't physically see the o-rings, but these seal the oil separator to the engine block. You just might find out you had a vacuum leak that you never knew existed.

I xc70 I had to remove manifold, removed fuel line, removed old trap discovered it was really caked up with carbon, also had too drop sump, the tube from sump was blocked, cleared tube, reassembled with new trap, parts bought FCP Euro, good luck
