Default Volvo 240 Stall issue

My volvo 240 has been having issues starting the past 3 months, but never had problems once started. Today a minute into driving it stalls out, my battery is at 14 volts, and all fuses look good.
Can I get some feedback? i'll answer any questions you ask.

US model vs international ? US 240's got at least 3-4 different fuel injection systems depending on model year, world market also got smaller engines with carbs and other weirdnesses.

fuses may look good but it's a good idea to turn each fuse in it's socket to work off any corrosion leading to intermiittent
bad connections...

Best thing you can do with a 240 fuse box is to get a full set of the copper/brass Flosser made-in-germany ceramic fuses (available on ebay and elsehwere) and replace every single fuse. clean the spring contacts with a clean soft pink pencil eraser, that will remove corrosion without removing the gold plating.

the brass/copper fuses won't corrode like the original tin ones did, and will last much longer. I use them on my Mercedes' which use the same sort of fuse.

A US model 1988 240 would have LH 2.2 fuel injection.

so... when it doesn't start, does it crank at a good speed ? whats the battery voltage when this happens ?

assuming strong crank, and decent battery voltage (12.5V or more), then primary candidates, in no particular order, are...
  1. fuel system
    1. fuel pump relay
    2. fuse holder near battery under hood
    3. fuel pressure regulator
    4. AMM/MAF
  2. ignition
    1. hall sensor in distributor
    2. coil
    3. wiring to coil
    4. distributor cap/rotor/insulator
  3. general
    1. leaks in the air path between the MAF and intake manifold, including hoses to idle air controller
    2. gummed up throttle body
    3. gummed up idle air controller
do NOT just go and randomly replace parts, test them individually, and only replace parts that show distinct symptoms of being bad. Lots of useful tips here, Engine Tune and Performance: concentrate on the ones for the early 740's (LH 2.2) as the 1989+ cars used a different EFI, LH 2.4. Also, the 88 240 ignition system is quite different than whats on a 740 so those tips are of less help.

Hall sensor and its cable is what I'd look at first...
