Ok, 1993 240 Wagon,
Had oil leaking from bad (cheap) seals. Replaced with legit Volvo seals. All is good, sort of.
Still have a "leak" coming out of the top part of the head.
I did notice (don't know how I didn't notice before) there is a bolt just under and to the left of the cam shaft coming out of the head (think southwest). could oil leak from here?
Here is the thing, I swapped out the B230 head for a B23 head. On my old B230 head (see pic) it's a plug, on the B23 head it's a bolt.
Look at the pic (its the old B230 head), the orange circle is the "bolt" area. you can see on this head it's a plug. The oil "leak" comes down into the area circled in white.
Can oil leak from this bolt??? and what exactly is it? Before I take the timing belt off again I want to make sure that is the issue. It also makes sense why the timing belt cover isn't 100% flush because the B23 head on there now had the bolt head instead of the flush plug. how I didn't see it, I don't know, it was right in front of me (of course I couldn't find the crankshaft pulley that I tripped over 12 times).
Thoughts?
