I think that whole hatch is the same. So I would think it would fit. I'd look for the heater connection and see if they are in the right place and take a few measurements. If they look the same, I would think that they are the same when it comes to those hatches.

It's not an easy answer unless you have them side by side. Although the 760 came to the states in 83, the wagon came out in 85 with the introduction of the 740. From 85 to 89, the 740 remained unchanged. In 1990, the 740 sedan and wagon received a new front end and the sedan received the tail lights from the 780. 1990's front end was a one off year. The hood, grill,cowl and headlight trim are unique to that year. 91 and 92 are identical. As for the wagon's rear end, I do not believe it changed in 1990...but as you can tell from the less than 100% certain answers...I'd have to have them side by side.

you rock. there's so many different models I can't keep up with all the differences. Every volvo I touch has something unlike the other.

I ended up getting an 87 from another place and fit perfect.
