1994 VOLVO 960 Hard to Star up!
My 1994 Volvo 960 was sitting on my garage for more than a year. I tried to get it start it up, but the battery was dead. I purchased a new battery ,and tried again, but still it would not start. I put fresh gasoline in the tank, and sprayed the air intake with starting fluid. It tries to start, but then it dies.
I have tried this method for the past two days, but I think I need advice from you guys the experts.
How should I proceed next?
I also like to know the physical location( a drawing or photo would be nice)of the distributor to check, rotor condition.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

what do the plugs look like - ie wet or dry? Right now seems you need to determine if you have a spark issue or a fuel issue. Considering it tried to start with some fluid, I'd be inclined to think something's up with your fuel pressure - ie a relay or pump or clogged filter. Can you hear the fuel pump kick on with the key? Any mice where you live? (ie inspect wires/hoses )

I checked the plugs and two were dry and two wet,I clean them up,and try to star the car again. The same result, try to start but then it dies. I am inclined like you to believe that is a problem with the fuel relay( I can not find it location in this car)or it could be a pump issue or clogged filter.I hear the the fuel pump kick on with the key.( I would to see if ,I could check if pump is pumping fuel disconnecting fuel hose before it reaches the fuel injectors, Is this possible?) Yes,there are mice in the area,I will start checking wires and hoses.
Thanks again for your kind assistance.
