Default 94 960: turn signal switch

The cruise control/turn signal switch broke on my 94 960. To replace it, can anyone tell me if I have to mess around with the SRS and remove the steering wheel in order to remove the steering column upper and lower casings to get access to the switch? Thanks.

Have yet to encounter a car(brand wise) that the column shroud did not come off as a separate piece. Should just require you to remove the screws or bolts on the bottom cover and the 2 will pop apart once you release any connecting plastic tabs.

Talking turn signal switch

I just did this on my 95 960 a few days ago. He is correct there are 3 screws that require a #25 tool and 3 that fit deep to hold the two case pieces together that are a #15 the tiniest tool. the n there r two sets of wires one that plugs in in the back of color and one rite at the switch, then two screws hold on switch. and my suggestion get the part at junk yard 40 bucks there versus 250 at a auto store.
