It depends what region of the world you are in.
In the states, the engine is inline 6 cylinder known as B6304 and the automatic transmission is a AW30/40. Same trans that is in a Lexus of the same vintage.
Other areas of the globe had other options, 4 cylinders, turbo, manual trans., other automatics
