Default Oil oil everywhere!

Man, did I screw up today.......took my 960 to the shop because it is leaking a little oil. They replaced something on the PCV system and said that it should help things out. After I left the shop I pulled into o'reilys and got a quart of oil, added a little and then proceeded to drive up the hwy to go to my next stop and get my new set of tires installed. About 3 miles up the road I noticed a bit of smoke behind me as well as the car behind me flashing its lights. I pulled off at the next offramp and had oil smoke surrounding the car. No good. So I opened the hood and realized I forgot to put the oil cap back on after I added the oil. there was 2-3 quarts blown all over the engine compartment as well as the bottom of the car. I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake! Thankfully there was still oil on my dipstick, and everything seemed ok. But still, what a mess! Make sure you check twice after topping off. This mess I have to deal with in the morning is not going to be fun.....

Have your dealer the engine compartment and underside of the car. I had this done yesterday (as well as a full car detail ) and the car looks like new. Cost me $129 at my Volvo dealership but wow what a difference.

I cleaned everything up this morning with oil eater and paper towels. All is clean now, however my engine is running like absolute crap. I'm really hoping that when I hosed it off something got wet, and just needs to dry out. Because right now the car won't even drive. It idles rough, and chug chug chugs when I put it in gear and try to go. Not good

I'd say you just have some moisture on some electrical connections. Grab some WD40 and spend 15 mins under the bonnet pulling off each electrical connector and giving it a short squirt of the magic spray. Don't forget the spark plug leads!
It'll come good.

....all is well. I had water in what I think is the throttle position sensor. Dried it out and now she runs like she always has.
