Automatic, No Tracs, No Turbo

Car was shifting oddly, flashing arrow came on and speedometer stopped working.


Code 232, 313


Replaced PnP, VSS, Mode Selector Switch.



Car runs great, shifts like it is supposed to, alas still no speedometer and arrow continues flashing unabated, mocking me even !


So swapped out Instrument Cluster with known good one, nope.


Swapped out ABS module with known good one, nope.


Swapped out TCM with known good one one, nope.


Still no speedometer and flashing arrow continues.


Is it possible the ignition switch could cause this. I have tried jiggling it but to no avail. Should I replace it? Does any other component send speed signals or is in the loop ?


Any ideas? The car only has 84k on it, And is in great shape, but I am at wits end.

 

Ended up being the Instrument Cluster. Checked the Ohms (terminals 2&3) on IC I thought was good - 0hm reading way off. Obtained used VDO IC plugged it in and problem fixed.
