Default 1997 850 wagon- questions

I am looking at a 1997 855 wagon, non turbo. It has leather, power driver seats, winter package with heated seats and tracs, moon roof, alloy wheels, premium stereo, keyless remotes and alarm. The car has had two owners and it has 146,000 miles. Maintenance looks good. It had all belts repalced at 143,000 along with the water pump, tensioner and pulley. All fluids have been changed and flushed. New brakes all around, front brake hoses, and decent tires (6/32). Asking price is $6000.00. Any issues I should be aware of in a 97 model with 146,000 miles, or in general? Thanks

The only thing that might need looking at is the suspension stuff.

Looks like the others were covered already.

Tech, the rear shocks were replaced at 103,000 miles. What suspension stuff are you referring to?

I always do a cooling system leak-down test. I put the pump on my coolant reserve tank. Be careful as it is difficult to fasten down securely. I checked up to only 17-18 psi.

Engine compression test is a good thing to do, if you are able to do it.

Having a Volvo dealership perform a visual inspection (about $130) won't be a bad idea, either.

I should have mentioned in the original post that I am buying this car from my independent Volvo mechanic. I just spoke with him and he added that all suspension components are in great shape, fluids were flushed and changed, the breather system is fine and there are no leaks anywhere, including the rear main seal. He said he also replaced the parking brake shoes, two inner CV joint boots and wipers all around, and did a four wheel alignment. Thanks for everyones .02
