2 turbo questions:
I have two questions: im swapping my turbo and exhaust this weekend (finally) and already got the copper crush washers for the oil lines and coolant lines. Now I'm wondering if there is a gasket of any kind between the turbo and exhaust manifold. Also wondering if theres a gasket between the turbo and downpipe. Thanks!
Put my 18T on my 850 a couple weeks ago.
There is no gaskets between the turbo and Manifold or the turbo and the downpipe. My indie tech that helped me with the job put a layer of RTV between the turbo and DP though. Only other gasket you'll need is for the oil return pipe, and I'd get a new O-Ring for the return pipe where it goes into the oil pan.
That is per my dealer who is an enthusiast with an 18T on his car as well.

A tip on the exhaust install if you are installing it all. Unless you get the rear really high cut off the last 1 to 1.5 foot of the exhaust. That will make it alot easier to get it out.
